Aspire Students Win First Runner-Up at the British Council Code Club Competition
Aspire International School students earned First Runner-Up at the British Council Code Club Competition with an innovative coding project in New Cairo.
Aspire International School is proud to share that our students won First Runner-Up at the British Council Code Club Competition. On a national stage, an Aspire team presented an innovative coding project that stood out for its creativity and technical confidence, and the British Council invited Aspire to attend and receive the award.
The result is a reflection of what our students can do when curiosity meets careful guidance: real problem-solving, real teamwork, and code that works.
Meet the Team
Four Aspire students built and presented the winning project:
- Seif Mahmoud Mohamed
- Yassin Hesham Heshmat
- Adam Mohamed Nabil
- Taha Abdelhakim M. Elshawesh
Together they shaped an idea, wrote the code behind it, and presented their work with clarity and composure in front of judges and peers. Placing as First Runner-Up among strong teams from across the country is an achievement the whole Aspire community can be proud of.
Creativity, Teamwork, and Real Coding Skill
The Code Club Competition is not about memorising answers. It asks students to design something original, make it function, and explain the thinking behind it. That takes creativity, patience, and the ability to work well together when a project gets difficult.
Our students planned their project, divided the work, tested what they built, and refined it until it was ready for a national audience. These are the habits that carry over into everything from IGCSE coursework to future study and careers in technology.
Thank You to the ICT Department
None of this happens on its own. Our thanks go to the Aspire ICT Department, whose teachers guided the team through each stage, from the first idea to the final presentation. Their patient coaching and belief in the students helped turn an ambitious plan into an award-winning project.
This recognition from the British Council also reflects Aspire's close and growing relationship with one of the world's most respected educational organisations.
The Story Continues
This was the first of two consecutive strong showings for Aspire at the Code Club Competition. The team repeated the feat the following year, earning First Runner-Up again, which you can read about in our story on the 2026 Code Club Competition.
